Dear colleagues,
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in Germany, with approximately 55,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Around 10–15% of localized colorectal cancers exhibit Mismatch Repair Deficiency (dMMR) and/or high Microsatellite Instability (MSI-H), while this proportion is lower in metastatic disease. Given the established clinical relevance of dMMR/MSI testing, accurate and reliable diagnostics are essential for identifying patients who may benefit from targeted treatment approaches, particularly immune checkpoint inhibitors, and for supporting further evaluation for Lynch syndrome.
Our webinar aims to provide diagnostic laboratories and physicians across Europe with the opportunity to further improve the quality and consistency of dMMR/MSI testing in colorectal cancer. By addressing diagnostic challenges, standardizing interpretation, and sharing best practices, we aim to strengthen the reliability and comparability of test results, ultimately supporting informed treatment decisions and optimal patient care.
